I’m just going to say it… I think the holiday season needs a radical overhaul.


More importantly, I think we, as a society, need to change the way we view the holidays. We see ads for the perfect, decadent Thanksgiving meal, served in a lovely setting where everyone is smiling, especially the gracious host. Truth is, in order to achieve that type of perfection, we nearly kill ourselves with stress trying to get that end result… which we never actually achieve. Instead of enjoying our time with loved ones, we can instead wind up emotionally unavailable and stressed out.

At 2 a.m. Sunday morning, we finally recaptured that lost hour of sleep from last March as we marked the end of daylight saving time.


I don't know about you, but I caught up on that lost hour of sleep a long time ago! I 'd rather have the daylight stay longer. For me, as the days get shorter

and it becomes dark sooner, it says winter is coming.

Time to go inward. I have to find my sunshine where I can.
